Prada and Damien Hirst in Doha desert

So it was, in fact, for the two-day installation in the Qatari desert , on 9 and 10 October , entitled ' Oasis Prada and Damien Hirst 's Pharmacy Juice Bar ' . The work has been developed on two levels: on the one hand , the artist, famous for animals in formaldehyde, has reinterpreted the dunes its legendary Pharmacy restaurant , local conceived in London in 1998 . On the other hand , Prada has set up a perfect replica of one of its stores within a traditional bayat shaar , the typical tent in the sheep's wool , in which were exhibited the bags ' Entomology ' limited edition designed by Prada and Hirst and inspired by the Kafkaesque metamorphosis . It is not the first time that Prada is dedicated to unconventional initiatives similar : since 2005 in the middle of the desert of Texas, near the town of Marfa , was built ' Prada Marfa ' , permanent installation signed by the artists Elmgreen and Dragset that reproduces a boutique brand and has become a destination for alternative tourism .
