Award Event "Concurso Novos Talentos" Brazil
“The School of Design Veiga de Almeida University (UVA) held on Wednesday 13th of November, the award event of the 4th edition of the “New Talents Contest” at Zax Club in Barra da Tijuca, Brazil. Among the jury, was the Designer Carolina Herszenhut, a former student of the University and creator of the Fashion and Design Fair O CLUSTER in Brazil.
According to the Director of the School of Design at UVA, Lourdes Luz, the contest aims to introduce to the market and reward new talents in Brazil, helping them to build their network of contacts and to enrich its portfolio. "This year we had great projects and i am sure that the jury had a hard time choosing the best because all participants have a great potential to not only win the competition, but also to become great professionals in the field…", said Lourdes Luz.
Besides of the Interior Design projects presentations, the event featured a fashion show for the assessment of the Fashion Design projects category. Prizes for the winners ranged from a tablet to a design course in Haute Future Fashion Academy in Milan, Italy, for the most voted student. The event also featured guests from other issues, such as the winner of the contest in 2013 and UVA’s former student, Cintia Cardoso Maurice, who in addition to honor the event took the opportunity to see trends and disclose on her blog.
"The competition is very important for students and recent graduates, as well as the awards and recognition, it gives them the possibility to visualize the actual job market, it may arise a job opportunity here…" said Cynthia."
